Spaces in Dialogue

In Salvati e Tresoldi: Lo spazio delle interazioni (Electa, 1985), Alberto Salvati and Ambrogio Tresoldi present architecture as active environments shaped by those who inhabit them

Alberto Salvati and Ambrogio Tresoldi set up their architectural practice together in Milan in 1960. Their work attempted to integrate art and architecture, with a distinctive use of colour. Salvati e Tresoldi: Lo spazio delle interazioni (1985, Electa) examines their approach to form, materiality and user engagement, situating their work within the evolving discourse of 1980s Italian architecture. The book documents several of their projects, including residential and commercial spaces in Milan and Bergamo
